The hectic life of tasteful people in fashion is busy year round, but when fashion week rolls around there is no stopping them when it comes to their style. It's either "let's go all out and add edge to our looks" or "let's stay chic, sophisticated and oomph it up with small bold touches". Women are not alone when it comes to style, I love to see what men have under their sleeves and it always surprises me how they love to play with their wardrobe. Menswear Fall/Winter12 collections at Milan, Florence and Paris turned out bold and felt fresh. Now, I can't wait to see what's in store for Women's fashion week in New York,London, Milan and Paris.

Alex K for Foam February/March 2012

photos via: fashiongonerogue
Model Alex K really showed her natural beauty shooting for Foam magazine's Feb/March12 issue. Photographer Alexander Wagner kept the organic nature loving essence and did it so beautifully. It reminds me of summer at the
lakehouse and just feeling free spirited and young. The styling was nonetheless, done by Shandi Alexander , with the lightweight tops and her fresh effortless hair (by Yukiko Tajima for Kiehl’s) did capture Alex's beauty and it doesn't have to be glamorous at all to look so alluring.

update your wardrobe ideas.

via: sass & bide s/s12,,

Spring into spring with an updated closet, with these dreadful gloomy clouds, I like to remind myself a small update can cheer me up. It's kind of an obsession, to fix every piece of clothing you have. I can't stress enough about it, I try to use pieces from previous seasons and work it into my current wardrobe. But, I still have the tendency to peek at what I "think" I need and eventually end up getting it or something similar to it. I realized something today, I don't own anything nude in my closet. I don't even own a pair of nude heels, that's kind of hard to believe, being that it's an essential.
Okay so, I came across these gorgeous nude heels by Camilla Skovgaard and to my surprise my hopes go down, the price tag $600. When you want something, you can't have it plus my size isn't even in stock anymore. So, if anyone knows anything similar to these heels let me know. I always like to keep pieces that I know will keep showing up from time to time. I love flowy skirts and asymmetrical dresses; it feels girly yet, not being overdone. I think every girl/or guy needs a great clutch and one that stands out throughout. Now, clutches can fit absolutely anything and they definitely pull the look together. Lastly, what can give any look that oomph factor is bold jewelry. I love to wear more statement necklaces and an arm full of bracelets. It gives a stylish sense and shouts WOW.

trending: spring pastels and hues

I've never realized how excited people get this time around. Well, spring is around the corner and stores are always
2 months ahead when it comes to next season's inventory. So, I couldn't resist and had to make a post about one of my favorite trends this spring, the art of the soothing palette. I love the look of cool pastels with light pops of blues, pinks and greens. It always gives off a modern youthful look. But, the idea of it still having feminine light pale colors had me on board.

Pastels were all over S/S12 runways; Marc Jacobs left the audience WOWED at the Louis Vuitton S/S12 (ph. 2, 3 & 4) show with its magical candy wonderland theme. Not to mention Chanel's S/S12 (ph. 1) show was quite captivating, an aquatic dramatic underwater dream. Lastly, Phillip Lim (ph.5, 6, 7 &8) also carried out with the clean pale colors
and the snake like texture sandals were crafted so well.

PREEN Pre-Fall FW12

I have always been a huge fan of Preen and admire the designers behind it Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi. Their spring/summer 2012 collection was ladylike with ruffled waists, frilly collars and multi colored printed dresses. The duo's pre-fall collection was nonetheless, the collection was vamped with dark blues and oranges. Their continuous colorful and unique patterns were skillfully tailored with an edgy toughness to it. It's no wonder the modern day woman craves for Preen.

the winter coat & outerwear accessories

WOW, It really has been over a month since I posted anything. I feel awful for neglecting my blog and leaving my readers waiting. But, I am back and ready for the New Year. I have many great upcoming posts in store for everyone and can't wait to share them with you all. First, I want to apologize; I've been busy and wanted a break from blogging. I did mention that I'll be getting a camera and it's final I am getting one this weekend, so fingers crossed on that. Other than that, I've been spending a lot of time with my family and did get a lot of things done this past month. I wanted to make this quick update post and street-styles I've been admiring.
It's a no brainer everyone needs "The Winter Coat", most of the time no one cares if they are stylish when it's 20 degrees outside. But, for those of you who still want to look great when the wind is blowing you away I'm with you. Whether it's a pair of playful gloves or layering 3 different textures of clothing to keep warm over the coat the wind will not be a bother. One thing I enjoy about the winter is giving life to what I wear underneath my coat. My favorite way is add layers I love to go with a simple turtleneck top, second a light striped sweater and a playful printed blazer and with final touches add brown leather gloves and of course, the coat.
